Ekaterina Kutikova Bgantseva, born in 1989, is an award-winning Spanish photographer based in Alicante, Spain. Her journey into photography began in 2007, when she worked as an editor and photographer for a local newspaper. Rooted in a deep family heritage of visual culture, cinema, and storytelling, her artistic sensibility developed through both personal history and early editorial experience. Her grandfather, Igor Lvovich Bgantsev, was a cinematographer and film director, while her great-grandfather, Alexander Lvovich Tarasov, was a cinematographer, director, and screenwriter — This connection to cinema is not simply biographical; it is part of her inner architecture — a visual inheritance that continues to shape the way she sees. She is also the founder of Street Lens Society, a collective dedicated to promoting street photography as a contemporary art form and showcasing distinctive voices in the field.
